五 [Accidental Video]
May. 20th, 2010 01:32 pm[The camera turns on as the device falls over a little, giving a rather interesting view of Japan, huddled in the corner of the room, papers all around him. Not just any papers-- art. They were drawn on. Filled with pictures.
Many strange pairings are scattered about in the pile. (Those are innocent, by the way. His drawings. Are not.) Not just those pictured, but obscure ones you can't even imagine. Have some Tohma/Suguru, Liz/Canada, Seifer/his gun (don't ask about that one). But, whatever you can imagine-- if Japan has spoken with you, you might be here. The more he's spoken with you, the more you seem to be included. Denmark, Tohma, and America.. I feel for you. His family.. should be used to this.
Japan doesn't seem to notice that his communicator fell over, and is smiling a little as he draws. He's not speaking to himself, but he does pause on the occasion to tap a pencil against his chin.
It's when he has just finished a nice picture of Denmark and Sweden that he notices the camera peering over his beautiful drawings. Immediately he reaches over, panic on his face, and shuts it off. MAYBE NO ONE SAW.]
(ooc: I find it necessary to be noted that while I was searching for pictures of pairings that would make the characters squirm, I found art that should never exist. Also, you need pixiv to view them all properly, sorry!)

So what do you do on Earth when you're not waging war and drawing disturbing pictures.
[No, he's not going to let that go.]

Date: 2010-05-27 12:45 am (UTC)Ah, well.. While there are many things to do, even sitting under the cherry blossom trees with Pochi is nice. [..he misses his dog.]
... Mm, so I suppose, it would depend what sort of things you mean to ask about. I am not very outgoing. Until recently, I haven't..

Date: 2010-05-27 12:57 am (UTC)Coulda fooled me, you're not exactly shy where it counts.
You don't help out with the government?

Date: 2010-05-27 01:05 am (UTC)Not where you might think. My boss is the ruler of Japan. Ah, he tells me what to do. What I can or cannot do.. And what I can or cannot think. The extent of my involvement would be speaking with other countries, participating in war, and the like; all strictly actions of effect.
The causes, the rules-- I do not make those, nor do I aid in making them.
[Merely the pieces on one side of a Shogi board. He is not the hand.. Mm, but speaking this and revealing his thoughts would be strange, wouldn't it?]

Date: 2010-05-27 01:29 am (UTC)Ah, well, yes. To deny it would be to deny my own existence.
Just like I cannot change the affects on my body, I cannot change my role in the world. [He hesitates and sets his teacup down.]
Do not get me wrong-- I love my country. Ah, I love representing it, and I will do my best to grow to my strongest, for the sake of my people.

Date: 2010-05-27 01:44 am (UTC)Tch... Course you will.
So who's your boss?
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 01:48 am (UTC)Emperor Meiji. There are many others in government who have their say, but he is officially my boss. Since 1867.

Date: 2010-05-27 01:58 am (UTC)Emperor, hunh... How long you been around anyways?
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 02:11 am (UTC)Thousands of years. Ah.. you lose the exact count after a while.
[Really, he just doesn't want to say his exact age.]

Date: 2010-05-27 02:18 am (UTC)That so. Bet China would know.

Date: 2010-05-27 02:21 am (UTC)If you'd like to know more about that, you'd be best off asking China-san. [Is that sadness?]
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 02:27 am (UTC)You grew up with China? [He can't even imagine what it must be like living with China, you are a brave soul Japan.]

Date: 2010-05-27 02:30 am (UTC)[But he kinda is.]

Date: 2010-05-27 02:36 am (UTC)Yeah? What would you call him then.
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 02:39 am (UTC)I call him China-san.
[Yeah, it's so obvious that China is basically his brother. And that Japan even thinks so, but won't admit it nearly all the time.]

Date: 2010-05-27 02:47 am (UTC)And -san is the lowest, I suppose.
Though, it's not as if it were disrespectful. Using first names with no honorific would be rude. [...]

Date: 2010-05-27 02:57 am (UTC)There are even varying levels of rudeness depending on rank.. Ah, you could say it is something my people are particular about. Though friends refer to each other by first names and nicknames quite frequently. It is a thing one must... grow into.
[Offering to fill up his tea with the teapot.]

Date: 2010-05-27 03:05 am (UTC)You know I only get called Almasy when I'm in trouble or being sent to kill someone, right? Or did anyways. Now they probably just call me that 'Bastard Almasy' all the time, heh.

Date: 2010-05-27 03:07 am (UTC)If you would prefer for me to call you something else.. Like Seifer-san, perhaps.. you can just let me know. I was not aware.

Date: 2010-05-27 03:15 am (UTC)It's just a name, call me whatever you want. Doesn't really matter. Was just curious if you knew.
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 03:18 am (UTC)I do not wish to come off as rude. Seifer-san then? You prefer Seifer-san? Ah, and it's not strange to call me "Japan" is it? I have a human name as well.. The "-san" isn't awkward is it, though? It's more of a habit than anything...
commentlog!
Date: 2010-05-27 03:25 am (UTC)Japan, I might be the rudest person you're ever going to meet. I'm not going to get mad over a name. Just pick something and stick with it.
Japan's fine, but if you want me to use your human name I can do that too. I ain't calling you anything-san though, I'm not Japanese.
